"The Mushroom Bomb Theory" is the twenty-second episode of season 2 of DKH's Episodes.
Synopsis[]
Princess Bubblegum figured out how the Enchridion works and the mains explore the alternate dimensions
Plot[]
Princess Bubblegum had called over Finn and Jake to come. PB told she finally discovered how she could travel time by expeminating the remains of the Enchridion. PB asked if the guys wanted to come along to see what happens in alternate dimensions, the two agree. Just when they wanted to enter Ice King barged through the roof and said he wanted to along with them, PB didn't really care so the four entered the alternate dimensions.
They first arrived in a dimension in which Flame King never killed his brother and claimed the throne. Finn saw Flame Princess walk around with another female fire elemental. He walked up to here and greeted her as Flame Princess. FP told that she wasn't a princess and that her name is Celosia. Finn asked if she knew him, but Celosia aid she didn't. Finn then asked if the other one was her mother and she replied yes. The other three were watching until Jake grabbed Finn and they went to the next dimension.
They arrived in the dimension in which Earl of Lemongrab never was created. The whole Candy Kingdom was destroyed, no one was left except for the 14-year old Princess Bubblegum and Peppermint Butler. Elder PB was shocked to see this. They overheard the conversation of Peppermint Butler and PB. Peppermint Butler said that they will get revenge on Lich for killing everyone but that they now have to hide in the Nightosphere. Peppermint Butler opened a portal to the Nightophere and they left.
In the next dimension the Great Mushroom War never happened and no bombs were thrown. They looked around and saw Finn (without hat) and his parents. Finn found it weird to see himself like that, and his parents, but what he found really weird was that a girl who looks alot like him was with them, who he thinks looks suspiciously similar to Ice King's fanfiction character, Fionna. They followed alternate Finn to his home and saw them talking to Simon and Betty. Ice King suddenly got a big headache and wanted to get out of there. He snitched the machine out of PB's hands and rapidly started to press buttons.
They went through several dimensions. One where the Crystal Dimension took over Ooo under control of Tree Trunks. One where Magic Man turned everyone into limbs, one where Finn never defeated the Candy Zombies, one where everyone looked like in Regular Show, one in which they end up in a cul-de-sac and some boys try to scam them, and one in which they are live-action. They eventually stopped in one dimension where they were in the middle of a second Great Mushroom War. All the important kingdom's were fighting each other after the death of Finn and Jake.
PB was finally sick of it all and teleported them back to their own dimension. She afterwards broke the machine (despite Ice King's protests that he wanted to go to a dimension where Fionna and Cake are real) and said that there are things that better not can be seen.
